PLAT2010 is the fifth biennial Psychology Learning and Teaching conference being organised by the Higher Education Academy Psychology Network. It will take place from 30 June to 2 July, 2010 in the beautiful and historic city of Edinburgh, Scotland.
This international conference provides an exciting forum for the discussion and exchange of knowledge, practice and expertise on all aspects of psychology teaching, learning and assessment, at both the undergraduate and the postgraduate level. A social programme for those wishing to explore Edinburgh and its surroundings will also be made available in due course.
Given the current economic climate and changes in higher education involving statutory regulation and GBC status, a conference theme of 'Managing change within psychology education' for PLAT2010 has been incorporated. With this in mind, we welcome submissions that address this theme, in addition to the wide range of other psychology learning and teaching areas that can be selected when submitting your proposal.
Submissions will be invited that contribute to:
- good practice in psychology teaching, learning or assessment;
- theoretical debate relevant to psychology teaching and learning;
- facilitation of interchange between teaching staff, educational developers, researchers or policy makers.
Typical subjects for submission include:
- evaluation studies of teaching, learning or assessment practice;
- innovative developments including a clear rationale and evaluation;
- surveys of practice in relation to psychology education in HE;
- informed discussion of policy or strategic issues.
To find out more about these and other aspects of the conference, please select one of the buttons from the menu on the left of your screen.
As PLAT2010 is currently being planned and organised, our webpages will be updated accordingly.
